Honoring Paulette Brown
The Boston Bar is proud to present the 7th annual Beacon Award for Diversity & Inclusion to Paulette Brown, former President of the American Bar Association. We will recognize Brown for her leadership and extensive work around diversity issues, highlighting ABA Resolution 113, an initiative Brown designed with the aim to increase diversity in the legal profession.
Paulette Brown is the first woman of color to serve as ABA President. In her time at the ABA, Brown spearheaded many organization-wide initiatives focused on improving diversity and inclusion within the ABA and more widely throughout the justice system. Her passion for diversity extends into her current role as partner at Locke Lorde, LLP, where she focuses on labor and employment law. Brown also serves as co-chair of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Learn more about Paulette Brown and ABA Resolution 113.
We hope you join us for an inspirational evening as the Boston Bar once again hosts the Beacon Award for Diversity & Inclusion. The annual event is an opportunity for the Boston legal community to gather and collectively recognize exceptional leadership that creates a lasting impact and illuminating path toward a more diverse and inclusive legal profession.
This event is free to attend, open to Boston Bar members and their colleagues in the legal community.
